Exclamation cold start problem 2

96 crown vic, 4.6L 281 CID engine.
Hi! I have a problem starting my car when it is verry cold outside! (winter)
If i use my remote to start engine, the engine crank normaly but dosent start.
The only way to have my engine running is, put my coat on, go outside and start my self, while I am pressing fully the gas pedal, and then the engine start.
could somone tell me what could be wrong? what should check first ?
thanks

Re: cold start problem 2

The last time I seen a car act like that was due to the engine temperature sensor for the ECM reading hot on a cold engine. Best way to deal with this is to hook up a scan tool when the engine is cold and see what the engine temperature is showing.
