No Tail Lights, Dash Lights, Parking Lights, Heater 99 Ford Taurus

HELP!!! I bought a 99 Ford Taurus w/ a 3.0 V6 motor yesterday from an individual. He said everything worked fine. Last night when driving it I noticed the tail lights, parking lights, dash lights and heater don't work. I have read through the forum and haven't found anything exactly like this problem. I have looked at the headlight switch connections and everything looks good. I'm not sure if this is all one problem or multiple problems. The lights on the dash (airbag, engine, etc.) all come on when the key is turned on and the radio lights work also, just no dash lights. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

The heater may be a separate issue, but it sounds like you have a bad headlight switch or something related to it. Also possibly a bad multifunction switch.

I could be wrong, just my

Welcome to the forum!

Which radio lights work, the display or the button illumination? Have you verified the fuses are good? Did you adjust the illumination dimmer to make sure it's not just turned down all the way (for the dash lights)? How about checking for voltage out of the headlight switch to the various circuits? Do the headlights work? What happens if you try the "flash to pass" feature? Did you check the 15-amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse/relay box that feeds the headlight switch?

Thank you guys soo much!!! I feel really stupid - I didn't even realize there was an engine compartent fuse box. I checked and that 15 amp fuse was blown - replaced it and everything works great!!! You just saved me a bundle - THANKS AGAIN!
