1999 Cavalier Brake fault indicator
both indicator lights in the dashboard stay on when car is started. i can get them to go out when starting by holding the brake down thru cranking. the lights (abs and hand brakelight) turn back on pretty much as soon as it starts rolling though.
This is my girlfreinds mom's car and her dad (my girlfreinds grandfather) changed the brake pads. Any clues or ideas of what to check would be appreciated |

Re: 1999 Cavalier Brake fault indicator
I have the same problem in my 95 cavalier. My mechanic told me it was my front right speed sensor. Get an Electrical Analysis.

Re: 1999 Cavalier Brake fault indicator
your mechanic lied to you , your car has only 1 speed sensor, and its attatched to the transmission,
he may have meant ABS sensor how long ago were the brake pads replaced?
