Looking 4 Mad Max Car parts & Hi

Hi. My name is James. New to the group but have been building automotive models for the last 15 years. I have over 1500 kit as of now mostly classic, muscle, hot rods and trucks. A member that goes by evo8owner or something like that asked me to join after buying some of my resin parts.

I am looking for any parts or the resin conversion to build the mad max car from the first movie where the car is undamaged . I just need then to mold but would be willing to buy.

Thanks again for thoes of you who posted in my other threads with your info. It realy helped.

Just to clarify, you mean the predominantly yellow 4-door Falcon, correct? Rather than the black XB Coupe which is easier to find - Aoshima and an Aussie resin company, whose name I cannot remember, have both produced versions of the black coupe.

James,
You may wish to post an ad in the classifieds section for whatever you're looking for - you stand a far greater chance of getting a response

There is also a company in the UK (Comet Miniatures) that has done both of the 4door Falcons, the2door coupe and I believe a not so good looking Toecutter Monaro. Not cheap.

The company here in Australia (Cavalier) use different (and look to be more accurate) moulds. They have only done the 2 versions of the 2 door black interceptor. Try these if your wanting to buy.

http://www.gatewaymodels.com.au/category24_1.htm (only has the MM2)

http://www.scaleautomobilia.com.au/aussiecars.htm (halfway down opposite the blue Monaro)

Or as Potsie has mentioned, Aoshima has done a MM2 version.

Re: Looking 4 Mad Max Car parts & Hi

Thanks for the info. I have seen all these kits befor but the one im after is the first version of the black car. The resin kit that they make is very incorrect. I am building the current kit from AOSHIMA and it is of the 2nd movie car. I have several of these kits and wanted to build the first movie car out of one of them. There was a company called A/FX N SCALE that made a conversion kit for it but I have been hearing bad things about them with getting parts. Again thanks for your help with the info.

Yes, AFX-resin made a very nice conversion kit for the Aoshima car. I had no problems ordering, however I think that they no longer offer this conversion .
