01 grand am intrmittant stalling

First I'm new to this and need some help.I have a 01 grand am that my wife drives and when your going down the road the tach will start to jump and the car will not accelerate if you try pushing the gas pedal down it will sputter and cough then stall .It will start right back up and if you baby it you might be able to gradually gain speed.I have driven it all this week and it won't do this until after the car warms up.No codes are coming up and no warning or check engine lights.I have replaced the tps, maf, pcv, air filter, plug wires and nothing has seemed to work.It was at the shop for a week and they couldn't find anything wrong with it.I have tested alt and battery.
any suggestions would greatly be apperciated.
Thanks Jay

Re: 01 grand am intrmittant stalling

Welcome to AF!!

Try replacing the Crank Position Sensor. An early sign of failure is intermittant stalling. The key is that they will restart but stall again. This is due to an overheating condition in the sensor. They will usually not throw a light so the mechanic can't usually find the problem until the light comes on.
