Spark plug help among others
I have a 97 GT. I cannot get the 5 and 6 plug, my hands are relatively large, anyone have another idea, I have not tried to rotate the engine for fear of possibly damaging something else. Anyone who can help that would be appreciated. If someone has the procedure for changing out the thermostat that would be great as well. THANKS in advance!!!

Re: Spark plug help among others
Cannot help with the plugs but I too own a 97 GPGT and the thermostat is very simple. Just follow the upper radiator hose from your radiator to the engine. There's two bolts (I forget what size) that hold the thermostat housing on the stat, remove and make note how the old stat is positioned, replace stat and the housing. Reconnect the upper hose and bleed the system. There's a bronze screw on top of the Thermosat housing that you can loosen to bleed the air. Be careful not to burn yourself. Use a rag or paper towels to soak up the coolant. If I missed anything, someone else can add. Good luck.

Re: Spark plug help among others
Cylinder 5 is in the front, so I don't know how you could have a problem with it. Did you mean 4 and 6 (the middle and far driver's side plugs in the back)?
I use a wobble extention and a flex head ratchet for the rear plugs, which gives you clearance around the oxygen sensor, without being as unweilding as using a universal joint that flops all over.
