Power Problem

I have a prpblem with my 1500 Silverado v6. After driving for a while and then shutting it off for about 10 minutes or so it starts up but then it has a severe hesitation when I hit the gas for a minute or so then its fine. Any help would be greatly appriciated ! Thanks

Re: Power Problem

sounds like your Fuel Presure Regulator may be going bad. Do a Fuel Presure test to verify

I have the 4.8L V8, but...Also note if it is after wet weather or going thru big puddles/offroad. Mine would hesitate under these conditions after running awhile then turning off/on. It turned out there is a ground wire on the driver's side of the firewall that was busted off(I think - problem hasnt come back since I reconnected it). I was also getting the SES light on - random cylinder misfire which has not come back since fixing this.
