I Need Sunroof Help!!!

I have a 96 cavalier and someone had put an asc sunroof in it before i bought it, i have talked to some shops that say it would cost the same to fix it as to replace it but i just dont believe that! The lifters are broke but the motor works fine, i just told see how they cant order the lifters and replace them, DOES ANYONE KNOW A PLACE IN TACOMA, WA OR SURROUNDING AREA THAT CAN POSSIBLY HELP ME REPLACE THE LIFTERS INSTEAD OF THE WHOLE THING????

Did You try to get in contact with the manufacturer of the sunroof ,maybe they can offer some advice .

OFF topic - I love that area of Washington. I was out staying with my brother on ft. Lewis base last x-mas and to see a sea hawks game.

but back on topic, look in your owners manual and contact ASC themselves, i have a normal pop up from them and i had to contact them before and get something replaced under warrenty. Good service from them. I don't have the # off hand since i'm at college away from my log book of owners manuals.

Hmm I have a 97 z24, didnt come with a sunroof at all. If I bought the whole assembly(off a junkyard cavi), what would i do from there...?

Basically, it's not worth trying. You'd probably be better off having someone install an aftermarket one - especially if you're not sure what to do.
