Worked on putting in remote start today...

While I was wiring today I had to eliminate the clutch position sensor. So I traced the wires then just hacked the harness and soldered all the wires together. Well I went to start the car and it started and then I noticed I had no rpms and the gas level was going down. So I was like oh shit I just fucked up my car! So when I went back I realized I forgot to plug in one of the harnesses so now it works fine again. I was scared as hell!

im gonna laugh when one of you guys starts a thread that goes "oh shit! I tried to remote start my car, and off it went down the street into a pole!!" This guy at my school did it with his intergra, but luckily he was able to hop in it and stop it right before it hit a fence.

Look up under the dash. It helps to take out the fuse box (2 nuts). Look at the top of the clutch pedal and there is a gold colored cylinder. With your hands follow those 2 wires (wrapped in that plastic tube stuff) down to more wires in a harness. Just hack off those 2 wires in the tube, strip their ends then solder them together. That basically makes the car think the pedal is always pressed.
