Angry Bent Rod Through Engine

We have a 2004 Honda Element and have taken very good care of the car. The car has about 47,000 miles and we had 8 oil changes. We recently ended up with a bent rod through the engine...even though we purchased premium warranty coverage, Honda refuses to cover anything. They say they don't know what happened, but that they never saw this before.

Any other stories with similar problems/negativ experiences with Honda Extended Warranty Not Care?

Smile Re: Bent Rod Through Engine

ive heard of similar cases but the only time that HONDA will stand behind it is if its a brand new car otherwise they say ur S.O.L. but if you can try to review your contract or warranty and see what it covers because maybe u were misinformed by the sales man to make the sale he had to lie so if you have a mechanic have him review the car and compare his findings to the service history of the car all dealers have to carry one of every car they have on the lot and good luck

Re: Bent Rod Through Engine

Sounds to me like you might have a bad dealer. Get the customer relations number and give them a call. Have all your service history on hand so you can give them dates/ milages of service work performed. I have had many repairs made from the extended warrenty and never had any issues.
