tranny slipping.....bad!

03, cavy auto. it only seems to happen at highway speeds, when the engine/tranny is warm. as im going up a hill and get to the top of the hill with cruise on, the rpm's jump about 1k. it does it on flat ground also, doesnt matter if its on cruise, or i just let off the pedal. it kind of jerks, as if downshifting and takes anywhere from a minute to 5 or 10 for it to shift back into overdrive.

anyone had any similar problems? it just feels like its downshifting, rpm's jump anywhere from 1k to 1500, and takes a couple minutes to return to normal. only seems to do it when the pedal is getting let off of. thanx for any help. the warranty is about to run out and we need to get the problem fixed before it does...

Re: tranny slipping.....bad!

You have a warranty? Why screw around - take it to the appropriate shop. It really won't matter if you figure it out or not. The shop will want to check it out on their own either way. Your job is to give tell them the symptoms - they tell you what's wrong with it. Don't make it more complicated than it is.

might just need a flush/ filter/ re-fill... but yea, tranny's are something i don't know too much about other than putting them in and taking them out. I am sending mine somewhere to get work before going on the ecotec motor. LSD, Stall , Clutch pacs, whole 9 yards.
