Sun Visor

Any ideas where you can get a sun visor assembly for a 2001 Elantra other than going through a Hyundai dealer? My wife went to the the passenger side visor the other day and the plastic piece that holds the visor to the roof just snapped into three pieces. The visor is perfectly good, but when I went to the dealer, they said I'd have to buy an entire sun visor assembly: nearly $80. They said I can't get just the plastic piece that broke and probably doesn't coswt more than a couple of bucks.

So far I haven't found a salvage yard that has an 01 Elantra that I can nab a visor. Any ideas?

Re: Sun Visor

Hey Kedwards 1,

You might be able to super glue the pieces together, also might want to check on Ebay. If those dont work, you might have to get creative with some JD Weld and wire. Also, other year Elantras will probably work. Hope that helps.

Re: Sun Visor

you could try to buy the complete assembly from a junkyard, it's probably not more than 15$?
