Why are you going for the double DIN? Im sure you could get it to fit, but I think a single would be better.

As for sound quality. You can have a $3k head unit, but with stock speakers it will still sound stock.

Yeah but I don't like the gap that it will leave in my G. I see other G's with the gap and I'm not feeling it.....so double din it is......looks cleaner....

You could get a single DIN head, and get a digital EQ for the bottom slot. Like Pioneer or Kenwood.

whats the purpose of an equalizer....and don't some of the double din have equalizers built in........

Dont get an EQ unless you are going to go all out crazy with your system. I think they are not needed just for your everyday basic setup.
