Grand Am Jumped Timing

I have a 1988 Grand Am 2.5L 5spd manual,It has jumped timing and I know it has a timing gear.Is there a way to set timing back without having to remove engine.Can the timing gear come off without having to remove the whole cam.If I do have to remove the engine can I take it out without having to remove the transmission.I really need this vehicle back on the road and I need the easyest way to get her back without having to pull out cam.By the way it has about 150,00 miles and probly needs gear replacing but in manual it says that timing gear cannot be removed from the cam.Thank You
