94 Ignition Coil problems

i replaced my Ign. Coil in Feb. but recently i replaced it four days ago because one of the metal things (?) stopped sparking, evreything was ok for about 30minutes after i installed the new one but on my way home it started runing rough agin so i checked that coil that i replaced and it wasnt giving no sparks agin. After checking the coil i replaced it agin thinking maybe the just gave me a bad one, but after i installed the new coil it stopped sparking agin!!!! i just replaced my spark plugs and wires also!! is there something that could be killing that coil??someone please help!

Re: 94 Ignition Coil problems

Are you sure, the coil is failing? Have you checked the primary and secondary resistance of the coil?
BTW, the specs for resistance are:
Delco ignition: Primary (ohms) = 0.5-0.9 (ohms) Secondary = (k-ohm) 5.0-8.0

Re: 94 Ignition Coil problems

Are you sure it is the coil, or could the ICM be losing the signal to the coil?

Re: 94 Ignition Coil problems

here is the latest info on my headache!! Took it back to the mechanic and these codes were pulled. p0341, p0321, p1361, p1626. He came to the conclusion it is either the module or the computer. SO i took the module and got it tested and it turns out it tested bad!! so i was happy thinking thats my problem, after replacing the module i drove my car to work and yet agin it turned off on me!!! my next move is to take the module back and get it tested agin, if it test good i guess i will change the computer and hope thats it. If it test bad i wont know what to do@
