Question Kumho tires for Caravan

Has anyone been using Kumbo Solus tires for their Caravan? If so where did you get them? I have only seen a few at Sears. I am looking in central Iowa.
Thanks

Re: Kumho tires for Caravan

I don't know about Kumho tires, but I just replaced the Bridgestones that came on our 05 with BF Goodrich Precept Touring tires, and MAN what a difference it made in the way that thing rides.

I recently purchased from TireRack.com the P205/55TR-16 Kumho Solus KR21 with 16x7 Sport Edition F7 Silver wheels to replace the original 14" steel rims. TireRack installed the tires on the wheels, aired, and balanced before shipping from Indiana to Chicago ($68 UPS ground...took two days).

My '95 Voyager now rides like a car. These tires are much, much quieter than the old cheapies.

so you went from 14" to 16" rims?

I've always wondered about what to do in that situation regarding the speedometer/odometer. I went from a 14" wheel to a 15" wheel on an old pickup truck, but the tires were lower profile, and so the overall circumference difference was still within tolerance.

Did you have to change any parts/gears for this, or can you simply reprogram the computer for it?

The diameter seems to be the same, so I did nothing. The tires are lower profile and the wheels about an inch wider than oem. There seems to be plenty of clearance in the wheel well, even during a full turn. The van doesn't bounce or feel mushy in turns like before, but then again, I had no name cheapos that lastest just 30K miles. I'm using two as spares, the other two are shot.
