keyless entry short distance
I have a 2001 Blazer. After parking, if I walk more than about three cars away, the remote won't be close enough to lock or unlock the doors. Is this normal? Is there a way to get more distance?
Thanks |

I checked the bulletins with GM and there is nothing about normal range for the operation of the xmtr. I do know the range will depend on your surroundings and interference from other devices. Sometimes to get a little more range you can hold the transmitter underneath your chin and press the buttons. This uses your body as an antenae. It sounds stupid but it does work.

The Human Antenna
I have to agree with you. I have an aftermarket remote start, keyless entry on my 92 blazer, and can start my car from almost a ¼ mile away, if i hold it under my chin.
