nitrous oxide?
Not to sound like a kid who just came from watching "The fast and the furious", but I was wondering, are there any bikes with nitrous? I haven't seen any so I assume theses a reason why people don't put nitrous. Opinions?

yes there are bikes with nitrous. a company in the uk modded a hayabusa with laughing gas and got 300bhp+ from it, plus i've seen some gassed drag bikes from time to time.
the reasons why i think you wont see it on the road is that crotch rockets are already fast enough, and any power increase is more effective due to their light weight. plus a nitrous system is bulky, even a small bottle would be difficult to install. sportsbike riders (round my way at least) tend to ride flat out everywhere so having a system that needs recharging and may run out during a ride is impractible. this is perhaps why (maniac) riders go for a turbo for sustained high power.

dang.. the only n20 i've seen on bikes are Harley's and the such..
r-1.. where do you mount the bottle? and how much do you squeeze?(as in how much hp)

A lot of guys I know wont run NO2 on the street for many reasons.
These bikes are fast enough. Having to deal with a NO2 system in traffic would be a major hassle. Most sport bikes are capable of out running 99% of the cars on the road. So, there is no real need for it. As mentioned before, the systems are bulky. There is a Sneaky Pete sytem that will fit in the trunk of most bikes. But it is quite small, and it is only good for a few runs before it needs refilled. Also there are problems with NO2 coming on too hard. If you are trying to get big numbers with nitros,, bad things can happen on a bike. One is that the bike might want to flip itself backwards. You can lower an stretch the swing arm to help cure this, but that takes some of the streetability out of the bike. Then there are problems with traction. Breaking the back tire loose and smacking the revlimiter is something that you dont want to happen. You could possibly high side or low side. Either way, pavement surfing is not fun.
