Problem List For My Car...

opcorn:

Hello Everybody,

My name is Kevin and yesterday I just picked up my first toyota for $500.00 and I am really excited. It has a few problems but this is a project I want to fix and I might need some help. I'm working really hard for a few dollars an hour so it will take time. All right you guys and girls don't know much about me and I have no idea about you. I welcome you to post in this thread if you have any questions for me and about whats going on with this toyota.
I am not a writer but I can type a few intellegent things from time to time. OK now lets talk about this old beat up white thing sitting out side of my apartment. It's a 1990 Toyota Corolla and it's a very fast car and if you don't believe me just take a look here.

Problem List For My Car...

Need A Safty Check (End Of December 2007)

Need To Fix Igniton (Last Owner Had A Push Button Put In )
Need To Fix Radio
Need Sound System
Need Seat Covers
Need Gas Cap Key Lock

Other then that everything is good

Re: Problem List For My Car...

Need To Fix Brake Light Mount
DONE
I've fixed this problem for now with good old ductape and unscrewing the lights from the caseing. The problem was that my cars brake light bulbs are on the original case and the reflector part is from a newer version of toyota so it was tricky.

Need To Fix Driver Door Window
DONE
I've found the problem of this to be the side rubber track that the window slides up crinkled up and the window was off the tracks. I just need to keep the window from falling and cracking now till I open the door panel and place the window correctly centered on the track and close the window for a few days so the rubber streatches out.
opcorn:
Need To Fix Battery Or Test The Altinator
DONE
Now I am having another problem because I just replaced the Altinator and it seems like a starter issue.

Need Gas Cap Key Lock
DONE

Other then that I just did not have the time yet so check back when I fix it.

Problem List For My Car...

Need To Register It (End Of January 2008)

Done

It's been a few days since I last posted and I wanted to update this thread with some information. So far I had to...

1. Spend $500.00 for a 4 Door 1990 Toyota Corolla (Mission Complete)
2. Spend $100.00 for a new Alternator (Mission Complete)
3. Spend $44.00 for the Registration (Mission Complete)
4. Spend $62.00 for the License Plates and Registration Sticker(Mission Complete)
5. Spend $9.90 for a rear drivers side brake drum Wheel Cylinder(Mission Complete)
6. Spend $3.29 for a Brake Line that connects to the Wheel Cylinder(Mission Complete)

Thats $719.19 for what I have sitting out side in the parking lot. It's List price is $8,700.00 and all I have to do to get this thing tip top shape is a few minor details.

First of all I need a safety check (sorry for the miss types)
10 Days After I got it Registered and that was on 10/12/2007
I need it by 10/22/2007

Need To Fix Side Panel With A Clip And Screw (I Consider this done after I go look at it right after I post this)

Need To Fix Interior (from old foam and dust it out) Soon as I buy matirial on my damn $8.25 an hour job pays me enough. Who knows

Need To Fix THE COLOR (winter is just around the corner white is ugly)
Need To Fix Radio
Need Sound System
Need Seat Covers opcorn:
Need To Fix Gas Cover Door
Need To Fix Hood (Metal thing that holds it up)

I need to go fix that damn fender thing now good bye till next update!
