Out Of My Mind

I have a 1991 Chevy S-10 Durango 4.3ltr that has me stumped.

I am having an electrical prob replaced the plugwires, altenator, and battery truck only starts when jumped at high idle. then after started says its charging the battery and shows it on a volt meter but after you shut it off it wont start again cleaned all connections to battery and grounds but still no avail

in the beginning it would always dip into red zone (battery meter) while accelorating but would level out still does it but now it either dies while idleing or when shut off no restart. No clicking from starter just buzzing from ignition alarm

Re: Out Of My Mind

First off Durango is made by Dodge. Lets get the straight!!!!! Sounds like you got a serious draw on the battery. Try charging your battery then hook your positive wire up. Then use a circuit tester between your neg lead and post. See how bright the light shines. make sure you have everything turned off. Check all of your ignition wires for bad spots and run through all fuses. Make sure the battery is charged with a low amp and give it time to charge. Then you need to load test it.

Just to "get it straight" Durango was a trim package for Chevy long before Dodge made the Durango suv.......
