No Spark

I have a 1987 Monte Carlo SS 5.0L and am having problems with no spark. The car has been sitting for a few months without being started. I replace the distributor cap and router because there was a lot of moister inside. I also replace the ignition module inside the distributor. I am still not getting any spark. I placed a multimeter on the lead coming from the coil and I am getting a signal. When I turn the motor over and try the multimeter on one of the spark plug wires or the distributor I am getting nothing. I am going to replace the spark plugs and wires next but I do not believe this is the problem.
Please advice.
thanks

Re: No Spark

Welcome to AF. Check for a burnt rotor then suspect the pick up in the dist. or the coil.

Re: No Spark

I have replaced the Rotor. If the problem is the pick up coil will I have to replace the distirbutor it self?

Re: No Spark

No it can be done, but the dist should come out, the procedure can be found at autozone.com. repair guides.
