ralliart vs tc

Its been awhile since I have been on here but I had a feel good story for myself. So I am crusin down this 3 lane road with many many lights in my town. Its really a great spot for some racing later at night with no traffic. Anyway there is this tc in front of me with exhaust and a sticker or 2 at the red light. I only have a CAI btw. I wanted to race that night so I pull up along side him after the light turns green while we are rolling and i look over so he knew what was up so he punched it and i did the same. He gets maybe a half car on me then i start pullin on him then start to pass him by the next light. So we get lucky and hit a red light and then he starts saying how my car is junk and how he is gonna smoke me bla bla bla. He has his friend in the car all laughing it up with him and I am like wtf is this guy talkin about. My car is 3k more brand new and he is calling it junk. Needless to say I am offended because I never call someones car junk unless it truly is rusty junk ya know? I felt as if it was the fast and the furious and he was like ferarri....more than you can afford pal...

Anyway light turns green and I get a great launch and he spins a little. I pull on him from the start and put about 1 1/2 cars on him by the end of 2nd gear and gave him the hazards. So I am feelin good... Lucky enough we get another red light and he pulls up to me and I am like what happened my car is junky? You want to do it again? He is like yeah I didn't get any traction before. So I say great lets do it again. So light turns green got a great launch again and had him by 2 cars by the end of 3rd and threw on the hazards once more. I slow down and have him come up next to me complaining how he didnt have any traction this and that. I just reply with " you just got beat by junk though what happened". He goes "whatever I had no traction "and did his version of the ricer fly by. That one felt good.....

Re: ralliart vs tc

Damn, that CAI must add like, 20whp. Unless your talking about a Raliart other than the Lancer.

I raced a stock tC back in the BMW, and we were pretty much door and door up to about a buck or so. I also raced an "OZ Edition" Lancer with an exhaust, and I didn't ever have to try to beat him.

Unless of course you mean the new Lancer, then I think it is fully possible.

Re: ralliart vs tc

Actually there is a Ralliart Version (Not the OZ Rally, that is basically a stock lancer with a few visual upgrades and rims) of the previous gen. lancer 162hp/162tq which is about the same as the tC. Oh and those new lancers are still "slow" and my car is slow.... so that doesn't say much about the new lancers. i raced one on the freeway the other night and i had about 3/4 of a car on him from 60~100 or so.

Re: ralliart vs tc

Traction problems with 160 crank hp? yeah.....unless hes on bare rims or launching at full redline he shouldnt have any traction problems! My girls car has 203 at the wheels on sticky summer tires and has no traction problems.

In any case good job killing him bro and Carlaw states that "you race what you bring" no excusses.
good kill.

Re: ralliart vs tc

good kill!

I love to beat someone right after they talk shit on my car! It the greatest!

I was passing this mustang owner one time and IDK what he was thinkin, cuz i let the BOV go off right as I was passing him, and he yelled over "does that thing come with a rubberband!?" I was like ...okay...? needless to say I crushed him. it was like an 02 GT... beating people like that is the best!

I know its only a CAI and I am heavily modded 5whp maybe?

Anyway I probably should have been more clear on what car I drive. Its an 04lancer ralliart. 2.4 mivec. There are a lot of differences between this car and OZ lancer like suspension, brakes, motor, clutch and some other stuff. They do look similar though and I think thats what a lot of people think when they see and want to race. Its def a sleeper car and I dont see many of them around here.

I thought a sleeper was like, something that looked slow and was fast?

Re: ralliart vs tc

I don't think my car "looks fast" and I wouldn't exactly call it fast. Quick maybe. I like the way it looks and sleeper as in its quicker than most think because they think its an OZ.

Re: ralliart vs tc

Dont be so sensitive Wakadoo. your a victim of your own purchase. There are two kinds of lancers bro, the EVO and the not-an-Evo.
The Ralliart is I guess the best of them so dont feel bad bro.
