1 quick question

ok , should you be hearing the noise the fuel pump makes when it kicks on constantly. i was hearing it and a friend told me the fuel filter was clogged so i replaced the filter. put new 1 on and i still hear the fuel pump humming constantly

I have a 91 Lumi with a 2.5 can hear pump prime, cant hear it driving, "may" hear it at idle very faint is you really really try.
Also a 89 Z24 3.1 same thing as above.
Son has a Dodge Shadow 3.0 you can hear his easily, even 10 ft behind the car. But in general, i dont think you should easily hear it while driving. But too, if you do, it still may be more a annoyance than a problem .
