Thanks Amigo! Autozone carries a Denso that's 5.99 a plug and it's platinum. That has to be it.....
OReily also sells one that's NGK and suppose to be the same platinum plug, and they're more readily available. Would these do OK, or do I need to go w/ Denso?

I couldn't find the PK16PR-L11 plugs locally, so I got mine here:
http://www.sparkplugs.com/more_info....73318&pid=9628

But I must say, I had a cheap set of Champions in the car and had a severe knock problem on regular gas. I switched to the Denso PK16PR-L11 plugs hoping the knock would at least get better. It did not. And the truck ('01 Passport) did not run one bit better with the expensive Denso ION-Sensing matched plugs recommended by Isuzu. Although the P0300 intermittent misfire code went away. I never noticed any misfire anyway before the Denso's, and the CEL never flashed.

Re: Special plugs for '01 Rodeo

Aparently NGK iridium plugs work as well. I know of 1 person on isuzuforums.com that used them with no problem.

Pinging/knocking is rarely ever solved by replacing plugs.
