oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter

my friend has a 98 cav. and he was wondering if you can take the oxygen sensor(after catalytic converter) off. i told him that he has to fake it out some how. he wants to take his catalytic converter off, i told him it is illegal and he still wants to do it. do any of you know a way to fake the sensor out?

Re: oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter

First ask him why he wants to take the cat out. Then tell him if he does it wont do a thing beside raise the chance of getting a huge ticket.

Re: oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter

Don't worry, if he's that much of an idiot he won't need the device - the car will be impounded within a week.
