Blower Resistor?

I have the squeaky blower problem like many others on here. I am planning on replacing that sometime soon. My question is about the blower resistor. The only speed setting that doesn't work for me is the highest setting. I thought i read somewhere that the blower resistor doesn't affect the highest setting. Is the blower resistor the problem and should be replaced or is it something else? Also, i am looking at the 4 seasons blower motor on rockauto for a 2000 intrgue. Costs around $45 i think. I have manual controls. Will this work for me? http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,6916

Thanks!

Re: Blower Resistor?

I would agree with you on the resistor. Get your blower motor first and see if it fixes the low speed issues.

Re: Blower Resistor?

I figured it out...after reading other posts on here i didnt know the low and high blower speeds had there own fuses. The high blower fuse was blown. I replaced with a 25a which the manual had said to use and someone had a 30a in which was what blew. thanks for the help!
