1986 Jimmy 2.8 4x4 - 3.4 Swap Question

1986 GMC Jimmy 2.8 Automatic 4x4
Have a '94 3.4 Camaro engine, stripped down and almost ready. Working on pulling the 2.8. Need some advice from someone who's done this before...

1) flexplate -can't find one from a 2.8 1988 or newer, I've heard u can use a 3.1 or 3.4 - but from what? Camaro one is too thick - ideas?

2) I didn't get the harmonic balancer with the 3.4. I suspect it would NOT have the timing mark anways. I'm getting conflicting information that I can use the one from my 2.8, and that I can't.

note: I have 1988 4.3 from a Jimmy - complete - dunno if that flexplate will work. (note - will be using the TBI)
