Fuel Line and Fittings... again

So I'm still confused, so anyone with stainless fuel lines and fitting please help. This is going from my fuel filter (firewall) to fuel rail. Sending only, not the return line.

-Going from the filter, I'm going to have a male-male 3/8 adapter.
-90 degree swivel fitting, 3/8-6an
-Fuel line
-6an T-fitting with 3/8 threaded hole
-Fuel line
-Fuel rail adapter

Sounds right? At the end of the fuel lines at the T, do I need something on the ends on them? Like another adapter or something? Any pics?

Then, what else do I need, like Teflon tape? I Tefloned up the line I have there now and it still leaked.

Thanks guys.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

What size fitting do you need for you FP sending unit. It should be 1/8". You dont seem to be taking any of the advice I have given you. SS line is pretty cheap, the fitting are whats expensive so I have been trying to give you the least amount.
I see you always put a T in the middle of the line for the sending unit. They make special fittings for this which is what I gave you in another thread.
I am going to make you a picture for it this time. Let me know if I am way off. Can I get a link to the fuel rail adapter.

Here is the rail adapter
http://www.ci-motorsports.net/store/...cat=209&page=1

Don't worry about money. I know it's pricey.

I think I'm just misunderstanding what's going on. Sorry. The part that you suggested didn't look right at all. I didn't know that it replaced the T to begin with. If I can go without a T that would be better. And I think I'm just confused with how everything fits together.
EDIT: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-M...spagenameZWD1V Something like this?

Again, sorry be begin stupid about this. I want to order the right parts and not have to wait another week for another piece or whatever.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

Ok. The Pressure gauge is a 1/8NPT connection, not 3/8. Sorry.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

This picture should clear it up. This is going to be the best way to do it IMO. You can change the 6-an fittings to straight, 45, or 90 deg fittings if it makes it easier. You dont have to use teflon tape on the -an fittings. I would recommend it on the 3/8" fittings if they aren't flared. I have heard not to use the tape with fuel lines but the teflon paste.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

Cool. Thanks. Actually I used the paste when I did mine and it still leaked. See this pic makes everything easier. I was over thinking the whole thing. Damn this was easy. Dude thanks.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

Its really not that complicated. Good luck on finishing it. Are you upgrading the fpr or pump now?

No. I was going to, but no need to do that right now. Ya it would be better to get it all together now, so then I don't have to redo it later, but I'm not. Just adding in the pressure gauge for now. Not to the point right now in my setup where I need more fuel. Not a problem right now. I got some parts to order tonight and hopefully can get everything next week and be all back together and running. For now I'll just get a stock replacement for this weekend.

So basically on the ends of the fittings, they unscrew and just slip over the hoses then?

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

You take the fittings apart, push one end OVER then hose, then the other one pushes inside the hose and screws into the piece that is over the hose. Its not hard its just a PITA.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

Ok I ordered everything else I needed today. Took the dysfunctional line out last night and taken apart. Thing looked sealed great still. Don't see why it leaked. So everything should be here by next week and installed and running.

Wish I hadn't cut the stock line. Do Autozone or Pepboys sell these for cheap just so I can use for this weekend as a temp do you know?

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

Yo man i'm not sure if you know this already cause I have no idea about imperial sizing but to fit our fuel filter you need a 12mm*1.25 to -6an male male. Ill see if I can find it.

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

So I got the fittings in today and it turns out the adapter from the fuel filter is too big.

This was what I bought
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_52768_-1
The bottom is way too big for the fuel filter top. So it's not 3/8". What size can it be?

Does it go down to a 1/4"? Like this?

Re: Fuel Line and Fittings... again

I have no idea what size it is, I was going from what you were saying. Steviek gave a link to a 12mm bolt to male 6-an fitting that is suppose to fit the fuel filter. I guess it might be the same as the nt. See if you can sent that fitting back and get a male to female 6-an with gauge fitting and screw that in to stevieks piece.
