2005 V6 fuel filter location?

Hi, tried to help a friend do maintenance on her 2005 Saturn Vue, bought the fuel filter but could not find it when doing periodic maintenance. It is the V6 engine, is the filter above the fuel tank.....or in it? This is my first experience with a Saturn.

Re: 2005 V6 fuel filter location?

I was told in this forum that the fuel filter is part of the primary fuel pump module and there is no interval for replacement. This was on a 2004 VUE with the honda v-6 like your friend's. When the fuel pump goes bad, that's when you change the filter. Seems strange but...
