changing spark plugs

So just how difficult is it to change the plugs on V6 in a Villager? Specifically this is an '01 with the 3.3L. According to the factory it's not supposed to need a tuneup until 100k, but the wife says the fuel mileage is getting bad. It has somewhere around 75k on it. The rear bank of plugs looks impossible to get at without removing the intake, etc. I've read posts from people who mention changing plugs and wires pretty casually. Maybe this is on a 4 cylinder? Was there such a thing in a Villager? Anyways, is this a fairly simple job or a royal PITA.

Simple job...just use an extension for the rear bank of plugs...they are at an angle leaning toward the passenger side...no biggie

Re: changing spark plugs

Depending on how long you had those plug in there. I had a villager with 2 of the rear plugs oem and the others were new. I guess whoever worked on it before could not remove them. I had to use so wd-40 and let it sit overnight before the finally broke free and I was able to remove them. I made a huge diffrence in the gas mileage. Rule, if you need to put your back into to it loosen them then you need to lubricate before you break em.

Re: changing spark plugs

Try changing the rear plugs from underneath. Worked for me.
