Electric Box Cover?

Hey I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for covering the electrical junction box located in front of the battery and right below the rear passenger grill. Everytime it rains or even damp sometimes the car wont start unless I tap on the box of wires. I know I could buy the flat grills for my car but am trying to think of an alternative so I dont lose the grill look on the car. anybody have any ideas...thanks

Re: Electric Box Cover?

In the 20 years of ownership I have not experinced the problem you describe. The grill vents are their to help vent the heat from the engine compartment, so putting in a flat vent cover may allow the engine to run hot.

There may be corrosion inside the plug connection, so you may want to pull it apart and clean the connectors. You could add some dielectric grease to the connectors which should keep the moisture out.

Or the plug may just not be fully"snapped" together.
