Re: 1999 regal gs

What do you mean by cheaper spark plugs. What brand?

You can safely use other aftermarket brands and different heat ranges depending on whether your engine is stock or modded. I've used brands other than the AC Delco Platinum 41-921 or NGK Laser Platinum PTR4B-15 in my GS and LS. Autolites work fine such as the APP 606 double platinums. The NGK Iridium TR55IX work fine and in most cases cheaper than the AC Delcos. The current recommended AC Delco replacement plug for your engine is the 41-101 Iridium.

The only brand I would stay away from are the Bosch, mainly multi-electrode plug.
