91pkup engine prob

My 91 pickup overheated. There was a lot of white smoke coming out of the tail pipe as well as some water dripping. I filled the empty radiator with water untill the smoke slowly started to go away. Not sure if I blew or cracked the head gasket. The oil stick wasn't white or cloudy. The next day the truck seemed fine but that night the same problem occurred. Any ideas of what the problem could be? Thanks.

well sometimes you can blow the gasket or crask the head inbetween the water port and exhaust port not always is there water in oil if you blew the top end try pulling the spark plugs and with th radiator full turning it overand see if you see an water coming out
