'64 Chevy Impala SS Lowrider *56k*

I saw that I haven't post this project on AF, so here it is.

It's my entry in the 60's era contest on SPC.

Will post the Wip so far:

This will be my first american car.
I think it's the nicest american car there is, although I prefer the '63 Impala above the '64.
The kit is from Revell so I think I will have sand a lot of parts

Here's the boxshot:

And here are the Sprue's:

It will also be the first time I use a lot of BMF.

I've painted the wheels and the grille.

The body is also sprayed in it's colour, on some places you can see the Gold basecoat.
That's because the spraycan was empty, so monday I can finish the paintjob.

Here are some pictures:

The color is more red in real life, will post some more pictures when the paintjob's complete.

The hole car is sprayed now.

I also did some BMF work:

The Impala is very big if you put an 1:25 Civic next to it.

You can see my D1GP WIP's in the background in the next picture.

The lowrider is now fully BMF'd and decalled.

I also clearcoated the car.

The color of the car is Tamiya clear red on top of Tamiya Gold.

I haven't polished the car yet.

Done the rearlights, and also painted the trunk.

I've been working on the interior.

It's Red and white now:

Here's a pic of the package shelf.
You can see the carpet pretty good, the same carpet is used for the interior and trunk.

I have worked on the engine and some other small things.

The distributor isn't ready yet.

Here are some pics of the progress:

Small picture because it was not really sharp.

The paint looks really smooth in person, but on the pictures I get orange peel for some reason.

So just ignore that

More updates will follow

The engine is finished:

It was the first time I wired an engine, but I think it came out quite well.

I also placed "mirrors" in the hood and the trunk.

I just finished the underside of the car.

(it's not a scatch on the fuel tank, it's a hair from our cat )

Re: '64 Chevy Impala SS Lowrider *56k*

This time it's not an update on the 1:25 model but on a 1:64 model I got.

When i got enough time left I wanted to build this car to be a replica to the 1:25 model.

And now I know i've got enough time left.

Here's the 1:64 model from Revell as I bought it:
