Question H-E-L-P! 1996 Eldorado Code

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have a 96 eldorado, the Service engine soon light is on along with the Traction control light and the Brake light. I am also getting the the "Service emissions system" message, along with "Service ignition system" message. Also the "theft system problem" message. Yeah thats right the thing is falling apart. The car will sometime idol at 1200 to 2000rpms, if I turn off the car and restart it a few times it will return to normal idol. Its idols loud too (all the time). Any Ideas? Also whats the difference between "History and Current", is it as simple at it sounds?? Current means its a current problem??Heres the codes...

Re: H-E-L-P! 1996 Eldorado Code

Often a lot of unrelated codes are due to the computer receiving low voltage and thus producing bogus codes. Check and clean the battery connections and grounds. Inspect the cables themselves for swelled areas which would indicate internal corrosion. Check the battery voltage across the terminals as well as charging voltage.
