Who do you think would win a race of like 1/4 mile from a dig? Both are stock. I have the 97 GTP and my friend might be getting an 05 GTP Comp G and I'm just wondering how a race would go. Also I might have my u-bend deleted (if I can find a damn shop to do it) before he gets it so how would it look if I got that done too? Also on the 05, do the tap shift things make that big of a difference?

Re: 97 GTP vs. 05 GTP Comp G
COMP G will most likely win if your stock.... different gear ratios (3.29 I think, your in the 2.xx) (better for quarter mile times) Plus the GEN 3 motor with the 260 hp dont know the torque- When I had my 97 GTP 4 door I had 3" exhaust, Colder plugs, wires, 160 thermostat and 3.4 pulley- I had about 1-1/2 car on the same car - Dont run pinks style thats all I have to say!
Just buy a 3.4 pulley for 60 bucks and CAI that will add about 1 1/2 pounds of boost and you will probably bet him, make sure you get the autolite 104 or 103 pugs to reduce spark knock.... there cheap plugs 2.50 a piece I think hope that helps |

I've owned both and have to say Comp G will win.
