New thread of buyin a 3rd gen

Hi, I have decided that i want to go with a 3rd generation camaro, preferably and iroc-z and have found a few that i just want some quick opinions on...
http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/425020138.html - i like this cause it looks very clean, low mileage, but i was told it needs and oxygen sensor(any idea what that costs, can car run without one for a little?)

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/431163889.html- the guy hasnt responded to emails and it seems to be in "ok" shape

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/424986293.html- I like this because it has about 75k miles and has a 150mph speedometer, the only problem is that the rpms show that it is higher than what it actually is because of the swapped speedometer/dash

Mainly looking at first and third choice.... any opinions?

The first one looks like its been taken care of more so than the last two. But they could have just buffed it for the pics.

Get the first one. Its hard to find clean, low mileage 3rd gens out there, and that is one fine looking example. And a O2 sensor only cost a few bucks, don't worry about it.

Re: New thread of buyin a 3rd gen

First on is a 305 with manual trans... Third one is a 350 with an automatic... IF IT WERE ME, and I wanted a manual trans car.... I'd go with #3... I would think the trans conversion is easier/cheaper than rebuilding/buying an engine.

Plus I hate white cars.

I honestly think you'd have to go see them both in person... those pic's suck and unless the guy is a friggin saint, there's stuff on both they're not tellling you (that they might not even know about).

(Where you at in PA - I'm near Kennett Square / Oxford - EDIT: North Philly?)

i would go for the last one its cheaper and looks the best also sounds like it has the most wrench time put in it which can be a good or bad thing.

305's....

The only one i would even mess with is the 350. Dont look at ones with 305's and if it doesnt have rear disk brakes, turn your nose up to it. Trans swaps, interior or exterior flaws are all simple for these so look at the mechanical features, options ect. Let the car decide for you if its worth parking in your driveway.
