amp installation question
i am planning to install two 10s in my 00 silverado. my question is, where can i run the power cable from the battery to the amp? do i have to drill a hole through the firewall?
any suggestions would be appreciated. |

I ran mine through an existing hole above the brake pedal. You can see it better if you look at the firewall on the engine side. Then I ran the wire under the plastic trim piece along the edge of the floor.

Not sure about the extended but on the crew cab there is a plastic like metal punch out plug, I just took the plastic door/carpet mold peice off and pulled back the carpet a foot or so and the plug is right there, if its there you should be able to see it by looking under the cab. Just pull out the plug, take a drill and make the same size hole as your amp wire, put the plug back and seal it with some silicone, I ran my wire from the battery to the chassis, just zip tid'd all the way, make sure its far away from the exhuast.

I had a 99 ext cab and there was a plastic knock out you could take out like the post before me said. I just left it out but it would be alot nicer to do like he said and drill a hole and silicone it. I wanna say it was to the left of the brake pedal on the firewall.
