Super charger VRS Twin Turbo

What is the difference between a super charger and a turbo? Is a Twin Turbo just as good or better than a super charger?

Re: Super charger VRS Twin Turbo

Basically, a supercharger is belt-driven, while a turbo runs off exhaust gases. Both build boost, just in different ways. A supercharger is also limited to how much boost because it is limited to engine RPM, while a turbo theoretically can produce an infinite amount of boost. One isn't necessarily better than the other, just depends on what you want out of your setup.

Debateable. It, like everything else that has to do with cars, it has its pros and cons.

Depends on the turbo application. Plus the location can starve it for oil. Boost pressures can be lost en route to the engine because of travel time. Like I said, its debateable.
