Unhappy 1999 Ford Taurus - Power Steering Problem

Hi,

I am having problem with my power steering. I have changed the power steering fluid a couple of time, the last one was we are using Ford Mercon ATF. The mechanic replaced the power steering pumps or reservior twice and replace a new belt. I ensure there is no air trap in the fluid by bleeding the system as suggested on the website. Have checked the hose, there is no cracks, or leakage. What else could have gone wrong here?

Would appreciate your response.

Thank you.

It is my understanding that your year of car is supposed to use power steering fluid only. Using Mercon ATF could be shortening the life of your components.

Ford calls out Mercon for that year
