Post 97 Cavalier LEAKING COOLENT.

Okay , so my problems not getting any better, i need advice.

So my car has been leaking for a while now, we put barleak in about 6-7 months ago at least, and it worked for the most part, stopped the leaking. I know when i took it to the shop i had a small Head gasket leak.

Now for the last couple of weeks, it has been leaking worse, so we tried barleak again, and it didn't work. Now the water is dripping out major, any drive i have, the water coolent is pouring down as fast as you put it in pretty much. The other day it went to the orange in my temp gage i pulled over, and there was no water in the (resevoir Maybe if i am correct), so i put more in, ran like crap the rest of the way home, chugging and chugging, but the temperature gage dropped to normal. So we figured the chugging out , it was my spark plug, so this weekend i checked the water pump and replaced that so now that water didnt seem to be leaking until last night when i drove it , it seemed fine then all of a sudden rose back to the orange just when i was pulling in my driveway. When i turned the engine off, got out, it was coming out the overflow, and there was a huge puddle from where i was driving. I went out today and bought a new Cap for it. And it seems to be still coming out the overflow..What can i do, we replaced the waterpump, ...I think its a couple of things..

1.) My Thermostat is sticking
2.) The barleak clogged my rad, and the res.
3.) my head gasket is leaking more than i anticipated.

Can anyone help lead me in the right way?? THANKS.

Re: 97 Cavalier LEAKING COOLENT.

as far as #3 goes you should have quit driving it the day you found out about this problem, with a problem like that its only gonna get worse, and when it does, (which is probably right now) even worse things will start to happen to your engine

im gonna guess #3

Re: 97 Cavalier LEAKING COOLENT.

Yah see i definitly agree with what ur saying, But for some reason, it was the fan that wasn't kicking in, and now when i keep the AC on or at least some sort of circulation going it seems to be running great, the temp gage sits at normal, and its not coming out the overflow..weird but works for now..
Thanks a lot hun i appreciate you replying and so quickly.
