Weird high idle
so I have a 95 beretta that is in decent condition. It has about 184,000K on it and havent had any problems until now. I changed the spark plugs and wires and now it idles really high, i have problems accelerating and i smell gas. The intake manifold is not broken but needs to be replaced soon...not sure if that makes a difference. Also, as im accelerating i can hear a clunk noise coming from the drivers side. I have a hard time getting it to go 65mph and when i push it, it starts to shake excessively.
any suggestions?

Re: Weird high idle
check for any disconnected vacuum hose(s) that you may have accidentally knocked loose when changing the plugs and wires.

Re: Weird high idle
I would find the source of the gas smell first. That stuff can catch on fire fairly easily, which is bad when it's outside the engine.
