97 grand am key won't turn

my key won't turn in ignition.....tried different keys ...tried lubricating cylinder won't budge....how do you remove lock cylinder and can you replace it without passlock problems

Most likly forcing it will be the only it'll move ,
did you make sure it's in park??

yes ,it's in park....is there any solenoids or cables from shifter that could lock it up?

Yes thier is a brake/trans shift interlock solenoid(BTSI), is located in the console under the shifter.

And a park nuetral safty switch which is under the hood on top of the trans, has the shift cable connected to it.

Might check those before breakin the ignition or key.
