Mystery box
I hate mystery boxes, so what is it? It is ty-wraped to the steering column and says Ascorflex on it. There are a bunch of wires to it including a rocker switch under the steering wheel.

You sure it doesn't say "Astroflex" on it?
There's a company called "Astroflex" which produce car security systems. What make/model is your car?
