Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

Just went through a batch of pics.

First 3 pics are from the same set, unsure of the chassis # however. The last 2 are both of Le Mans '95.

Enjoy.

Re: Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

I have seen the first pic in another set - it's chassis #047. The other two are new for me.

The last pic was not taken LeMans as the pit garages are on the wrong side and look quite different. Additionally, the race number on the car implies this was a '95 BPR event, and one of the early ones prior to LeMans given the look of the nose of the car. The car in front would be #02R, the car behind should be #04R depending on the event.

Thanks LeMan - that makes the second Gulf GTR in line #08R instead, as #04R only competed in the Jerez, Paul Ricard and Monza events before being abandoned after an accident in practice at Jarama.

My apologies, you are correct. Reading more closely, this was Bellm and Sala at Donington where they finished out of the points.

This image belongs to the first set which I had scanned at an earlier date. With the difference in quality between this technique and my new one, I might re-do this one...

I don't think this needs a whole new thread, so I'll add them to yours. I think these are new..

oops
Daan, I love the back angle and interior shot

off-topic: @ Erik, I don't think you come to SCN anymore, but I bumped two threads you made there (XJ220 S and OX99-11). I didn't find anything spectacular, but you might like it

Re: Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

Isn't there a thread on here that is used to post picture that you think are new, but don't need a thread on their own?

Re: Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

I don't think we have a specific thread like that - at least not a recent one.

I don't believe I have seen that first image before. The other three of #25R I have.

Re: Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

Two more, although I have a feeling that some people might have this one already. Hopefully these are higher res at least for those that do.

My guess is that this is XP3, but I can't be 100% myself...

Re: Hi-res McLaren pics (new?)

Hi,
I found all the pictures great and loved them. I can say that you are really good in posting some good pictures of your favorite cars. I have a liking towards Mc Laren and posted it here.

It has the circular cut-outs around the door button and the early style Citroen side mirrors, but XP3 never got the production style front turn signal lamps. Of the cars I am familiar with it looks most like #001. By chassis #003 the cut out for the door button had become U-shaped and by chassis #007 (or sooner possibly) they had already switched to the VW sourced side mirrors.
