fwd lower control arm bolt stuck inside bushing
I am changing both front lower control arms on my sons 2000 gpgt. after a day of soaking with penetrating oil and wd40 and beating the crap out of it I still can’t get the fwd bolt to break free of the bushing. The bushing just spins inside its mount every time I try to turn the torx bolt. Everything else is off but I can’t get this damn bolt to drop free. HELP !!!!

Re: fwd lower control arm bolt stuck inside bushing
After 15 hours 5 of them dedicated to getting that damn control arm bolt out I am finally done. Tried heat, wd40, penetrating oil, small gear puller, c clamp and a hax saw and it finally broke free. Total replaced was 2 lower control arms, front sway bar with bushings and end links and 2 outer tie rod ends also rusted through. Time for bed!

Re: fwd lower control arm bolt stuck inside bushing
Sorry to hear your struggles. Next time, ditch the useless WD-40 and use a real rust penetrant like PB-Blaster.
