HELP!!! Car is overheating

Just purchased a 2004 GP GTP. When we bought it they had to replace the Blower motor because of a short. They fixed the short, replaced the blower motor and fuse. After that it had a belt chirp. I haven't been back yet to have them fix that.

On to today. Now it is overheating. It accelerates uneven and a little sluggish unless you give it considerable gas. The fans will not come on even though the temp gage reads very hot. I can force the fans on with the air conditioner, but the temp gage still climbs. Any ideas what to look for? Is the repair they did related?

I really need help since it is Saturday and no one is open.
