Transmission Control Module
HI I have a 91 Acclaim with 4 speed automatic. It appears the TCM has problems and under certain conditions goes into limp home mode. I've read all the fluid notes and understand that well. The solenoids have been replaced.
we gotten one TCM from the junk yard already that ONLY has limp home mode. it did look a little different than the one in the car - big heat sinks. does anyone have the right manufacturer part number for the TCM or tell me where I can get it??? THANKS.

you didnt say what size motor you have beause if you have a 3.3 v6 and installed a transmission from a 3.0 the extra power could be putting your trans into limp home mode or you installed a tcm from a 3.3 into your 3.0 trans that would explain the bigger heat sink. I'm sorry I cant be much more help but you could check with a junkyard that carries that sort of stuff and could locate the exact same tcm using your vin number
