Help

Ok, here is the breakdown on my 95 maxima GLE. I am only a poor college student. Give me some suggestions on how I could fix it for real cheap, at the same time have it fixed.

1. when I brake, it seems as if my brake pads rub against my rotor, a metal rubing against metal rubbing sound.

2. When I accelerate the car seems to kick. Thought it might have been the throttle body, but once I cleaned it, the problem was still there.

3. Cold start problems.

4. The car seems to run real hard, not a soft riding and driving car anymore.

5. When I accelerate around a turn really fast, a rattleing sound from the rear can be heard. Sounds like the catalytic, or muffler, however the muffler is not loose, nor is the exhaust.

6. My shocks have gone bad.

7. Check engine light is on

8. when I turn th steerin wheel rpm meter goes up and down.

Well if there is anyone that can help, please provide some suggestion, and if your in the Seattle area, please help!

the bulk of your problen is most likely the transmission. the brakes just need to be replaced.

the cold start probelms im not going to even touch on, it could be to many things, including your battery which would be the cheepest and easiest to replace.

the first one

the first problim is a result of that the brake pads are dead, don't break hard, go to a repair shop and change the brake pads if you can't do it yourself " you want something done right, just do it yourself "
drive slowly and dont push the brak hard or you'll need to repair other exxpensive parts..

good luck
