Exclamation Help, Usefull information needed/Break in Period

Ok here is the deal. I have an 07 Z with cvt. I keep here diferent things about breaking in an engine. Some people tell me its not necessary that they do it at the factory. Others tell me i have to wait about 1000 or 2000 miles before i can push the engine. Which one is acurate. Ive kinda pushed my engine a little already but i havent redlined yet. it has 556 miles as of right now. Did i damage my engine or loss any power.
